The PostMyParty Workflow Assistant is a [Chrome Extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/postmyparty/ofahkepebjpkbhkcfkinmideifnjfdgo). ​ **With this tool:** * Continue to use PostMyParty to schedule posts to your Facebook **groups** and **business pages**. ​ * Continue to post as either your personal profile, or business page profile ​ * No need to make sure the PostMyParty app is added to your groups anymore ​ * You now have the ability to schedule posts to **Facebook events**! 🎉​ While your posts on Facebook will still look the same, **going about scheduling your parties will look a bit differently than before.** We know change is hard, so we're here to walk you through to make this transition as easy as possible! ​ If you’ve been with us long, you’ll know this isn’t the first curveball Facebook has thrown this industry. ​ *​(Remember when they removed Event use a while back, when those were the party standard?) * ​ We here at PostMyParty work hard to rise to the occasion and provide our users with a solution! --- # Step 1) Download and log into the Chrome extension [How to Download the Extension](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/how-to-download-the-postmyparty-chrome-extension-40aafx/) ​ --- ​ # Step 2) Schedule your party When scheduling a new party, you’ll notice the flow looks a little bit different than before. We walk you through those differences here: ​ [How to schedule a party (the new way!)](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/how-to-schedule-a-party-the-new-way-2ywfdg/) ​ --- # Step 3) Ensure your posts are ready to publish Once you have parties scheduled that you want to post, you will need to either: # Before you step away 👇​ If you have parties scheduled that you want to post, you will need to either: ​ | ⭐**Pre-load your content to your Facebook groups** | [Click here to see how to pre-load content](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/schedule-a-party-from-the-chrome-extension-1oqps76/) | If this method is used, the posts will publish at the time scheduled for *without your computer needing to be on.* ​**OR** ​ | ⭐**Ensure your computer is set up to publish** by making sure the below conditions are met at the time your posts are scheduled for: | Your computer is on. ****If you are using a laptop, be sure to keep the lid open.**** | ​2. Your browser is open (the same one you had downloaded the extension to). | ​3. The Chrome extension is on and has been refreshed. The extension can be installed to a computer (including laptops). This cannot be used on mobile devices like phones or tablets. ​ **Alternate solution:** If using a computer is not an option for you, we've designed the [PMP Keyboard extension](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/how-to-use-the-keyboard-extension-13c48hz/) just for you! ​ While posts relying on a phone only will not publish automatically, it provides a way to easily access and post your content just about anywhere on the internet! --- ## How do I install the Chrome extension? You can still create, schedule, and manage your posts from your phone. ​ However, when it's time for the posts to publish you will need the extension. Yes! The extension has been approved by both Facebook and Google, and is hosted along their similar workflow assistants. ​ This has been legally reviewed, very thoroughly. While we recommend using Google Chrome, folks have had success with some other browsers (such as Microsoft Edge). ​ We've found Safari does not easily allow Chrome Extensions to be downloaded to that browser. --- ## What if I don't have Google Chrome? We do not recommend using Safari, as it is not compatible with Chrome extensions. --- ## Can I still post to... * Personal groups? Yes! * Business Page groups? Yes! * Business Pages? Yes! ​ Bonus: You are now able to post to Facebook events and Messenger Chats too! 🎉 --- ## Can I post as my Business Page name? Yes! Please see below for more information: ​ [Publish Posts as your Business Page Profile](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/post-as-your-business-page-profile-cci01d/) --- ## How will I know it's ready to post? ​🎉 **For groups:** If you had [pre-loaded](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/schedule-a-party-from-the-chrome-extension-1oqps76/) your posts to Facebook, you will see those posts listed in the *Scheduled Posts* section of that Facebook group (on Facebook itself). ​ ​If this method is used, the posts will publish at the time scheduled for *without your computer needing to be on.* ​ ​ ​🎉 **For events, pages, chats,** and **groups that have not been pre-loaded:** ​ The following conditions must be met at the time of your scheduled posts 👇 * The computer must be on. * The Google Chrome browser must be open on your computer. * You must be logged into the Facebook account you want your posts published by. * The PostMyParty extension [must be enabled](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/how-to-enable-pin-and-refresh-the-extension-1bnqzz7/). If this method is used, when the time for a scheduled posts arrives, the extension will open an new tab, publish to the Facebook location it was scheduled for, then close the tab. --- ## Do I need to keep my computer on? It depends! ​ 👉 Are your post scheduled to a group, and you've [pre-loaded](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/schedule-a-party-from-the-chrome-extension-1oqps76/) those posts to Facebook? * If so, **NO** - your posts will publish *without the computer needing to be on.* ​ 👉 Are your posts scheduled to an event, page, or group that has not been pre-loaded to Facebook? * If so, **YES** - *your computer would need to stay on.* Using the extension is just as if you had a personal assistant publishing your posts for you at the time they're scheduled for, so it will need to remain on. ​ It is okay if it falls asleep or your screensaver pops up. It just cannot shut down. --- ## Will I still be able to use my templates? Yes, using templates will still work the same way as before. ​ We do recommend being more careful about the spacing of your posts. We've found making sure there's at least 5-10 minutes between *any post leaving your account* is helpful in the extension having time to upload and publish your media, and is a good deterrent of Facebook not blocking your account for posting too fast! --- ## Can I post to multiple parties at once? Yes, just be mindful that you do not have more than 1 post [scheduled at the same exact time.](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/why-do-my-parties-say-duplicated-1k00qv3/) ​ We've found making sure there's at least 5-10 minutes between *any post leaving your account* is helpful in the extension having time to upload and publish your media, and is a good deterrent of Facebook not blocking your account for posting too fast! --- ## Will the be an additional cost to use this? No, the ability to use the Chrome extension is included with every PostMyParty subscription. --- ## Will using this get me flagged by Facebook?
