# What do I do with a PostMyParty Template?

# WHAT IS A TEMPLATE?

A Template is a specific set of posts, with designated days and times for each post. That way, you'll be able to schedule an entire party's worth of posts all at once!

When a Template is scheduled to a Facebook group/event/business page/chat, the posts will publish go out in the order you created.

You can either create your own, or import one that was shared with you.

The best part is that your Templates are saved to your account - *so you can schedule it again to ANY Facebook group, even, or business page.*

# HOW DO I CREATE A TEMPLATE?

* First, select **Templates** from your dashboard menu.
* Click the **New Template** button.

# HOW DO I IMPORT/SAVE A TEMPLATE?

Did someone share a link to a template with you? If so, all you need to do is log into your PostMyParty account, click the link you were given, and then click the I**mport** button on that page. The whole template including text, photos, links, and the times will be saved in your account.

Once it's saved to your account, we recommend [editing your template](https://support.postmyparty.com/en/article/how-to-edit-a-shared-template-1qs2l8t/) as much as possible so it will more unique to you.

# HOW DO I SCHEDULE A TEMPLATE TO MY PARTY GROUP?

Now that your template of party posts is complete, you can schedule it to post to Facebook.

* From your PostMyParty dashboard, click **Parties.**
* Then, click the **New Party** button.

# HOW DO I CHECK MY PARTY POSTS THAT ARE NOW SCHEDULED?

From the PostMyParty menu, click **Parties**. All parties you have scheduled will be listed here. At a glance you can see:

* The name of each Party (which is the name of the group, event, or page it will be posting to

* The template that is attached to each party  
​
* How many posts are scheduled in each party  
​
* The **Start Date** selected for each party

**To ensure your posts are ready to publish, be sure of the following conditions are met at the time of each post:**

* Your computer is on.

* Chrome is open.  
​
* You are logged into your Facebook account.  
​
