Schedule Posts from Keyboard Extension to Facebook Scheduler

Shift posts from the PMP mobile app to the scheduled section of a Facebook group.

This article will walk you through taking your posts in the party list on your PMP Mobile App and schedule them in the group itself for posting later.

Before getting started, you'll need to have the PostMyParty mobile app and keyboard extension installed to your device (Android/iOS).

Step 1) Set up a new post

  • From your mobile device, navigate to your Facebook group from the Facebook mobile app. Make sure to be viewing the group as whichever profile or page is Admin in your group.

  • Go to create a new post in this group, by tapping the “Write Something…” box.

  • Tap on the “Create a Post” wording to put your cursor in the post. This will make your device’s Keyboard open up.

    If you are not already viewing your PMP Keyboard Extension when the keyboard opens up, click the Keyboard icon (or Globe icon depending on your device) in the bottom corner of your keyboard. This will bring up a list of all keyboards you have installed to your device. Select PostMyParty from this list.

Step 2) Use the Keyboard extension to paste your post info

  • In your PMP Keyboard, click on PARTIES on the left side panel.

  • Select your party from the list of parties already scheduled.

  • Scroll to find the post that you want to send to the scheduled section in your group.

  • Tap on the text part of your content in the Keyboard Extension. This will copy and paste the text automatically to your post in the upper portion of your screen.

  • Click the Media (like pictures or video) to copy it to your clipboard. This will show as an alert on the photo in your keyboard extension and will also put an alert across the screen.

  • In your post in the top half of your screen, tap the green photo button, and choose the photo you just copied to the clipboard. This will add the photo to your post.


Step 3) Schedule the post

  • Choose the SCHEDULE button on your post right below your Profile or Page name of the Admin scheduling the post.

  • Turn on the PUBLISH POST AT A FUTURE DATE & TIME switch

  • Choose your date in the Calendar, click OK and then choose the time of the post in the timeclock box and click OK.

You will now see the Date and Time you choose at the top of the post below your Profile Name or Page name, depending on which one is scheduling this post to the group.

  • Click on the SCHEDULE button that is now showing in the upper right corner of your mobile device to schedule that post to your group.

Facebook will publish this post at the time you had scheduled it for.


Reminder - If you are also using the Chrome Extension from your computer to publish your posts, the posts shifted via the Keyboard Extension WILL NOT be removed from your Extension box on your computer.

You MUST delete them from the Party List and click on REFRESH in your PMP Chrome Extension on your computer. Or turn OFF the Extension in your browser on your computer so the posts do not post twice to the group.



If you want to check to make sure your post is in the Scheduled section of your group while on your mobile device, view your group as the Profile or Page that scheduled the post and tap on the SHIELD icon in the upper right corner of FB to open the Manage Group section

Scroll down to find SCHEDULED POSTS.

This will show the posts that you have scheduled with that Profile or Page that is Admin in your group.

**Please Note: Scheduled posts in this section will ONLY show for the Admin that scheduled the posts. No other Admin in the group can see these posts until they post to the groups.
