When creating a new Picture or Multi-Picture post, you'll notice a Design on Canva button appears.

This allows you to connect to your Canva account, and either upload an image you've already created OR design a new one - all without leaving PostMyParty!

NOTE: You will need a Canva account in order to use this feature.
If you don't have one already, you can sign up for a free Canva account here: https://www.canva.com/

To get started, click the Design on Canva button.

This will open a new window. If you aren't already, it will ask you to login to your Canva account.

Once logged in, you'll see a blank Canva project, like this:

You can proceed by either:

  • Creating a new image

  • Uploading an existing project you have already created on Canva

We'll go over each of those options below.

Note: Any images you create with this tool will not be saved to your Canva account. If you do want an image to be stored within Canva, you will want to create it on Canva's website first, then upload it to PMP.

In this case, jump to the Uploading an existing Canva project section below.

To create and upload a brand new image:

Use any tools in this window to customize your image. You can change the background, add text, include pictures and graphics, and much more.

⭐ If you are not familiar with Canva, I highly recommend looking over their free Design School.

Look for a "Getting Started" type course there, they do a great job of teaching you the basics!

Tip: If you are have a free Canva account, avoid using any elements marked as premium (denoted with a crown icon). That way the image you create will be free for you to use.

Once you're happy with your image, use the Publish icon to upload it to your PostMyParty account.

A loading screen with appear, and that image will be added to your PostMyParty post.

Upload an existing Canva project:

⭐ The default size of projects uploaded here is 930x780 (an ideal size for Facebook).

When creating projects in Canva ahead of time that you intend to upload via this Design on Canva feature, we recommend using those specs (or a similar ratio) for those projects.

After clicking the Design on Canva button on your PMP post, select the Project icon in the lefthand column of the Canva window:

Any projects you have already created in your Canva account will be available here. Click on the project you want to use, and it will load in this window.

⭐ The default size of projects uploaded here is 930x780 (an ideal size for Facebook). If your project is a much different ratio than the default, the edges of your project may be wither cropped or stretched to fit.

So, when creating projects in Canva ahead of time that you intend to upload via this Design on Canva feature, we recommend using those specs (or a similar ratio) for those projects.

Click the Publish button in the top corner to upload the image to your PostMyParty post.

A loading screen with appear, and that image will be added to your PostMyParty post.
