There are two ways you can share a video:

1) Uploading a video file

2) Sharing a public video link

Continue reading to see how each option is used.

Upload a Video File

When creating a new post:

  • Locate the Media section of the post.

  • Either click the Browse File box to upload your video file, or drag-and-drop your video file into that box.

Note: With the basic subscription plan, you can upload a video up to 100MB in size. Depending on the file type and quality, 100MB can range from approximately 1-10 minutes in length.

Videos larger than 100MB would require a Pro subscription level.

  • Finish filling out the rest of the required info on this page.

  • Click the Create button to save.

Share a public video link

Any video link you share must be public (or if you're using your own YouTube videos, 'unlisted' videos would also be acceptable).

When creating a new post:

  • Locate the Message section of this post.

  • Enter the video link within the Message box. The link will not appear clickable here, but once it publishes to Facebook, it will be a blue clickable link.

  • Finish filling out the rest of the required info on this page.

  • Click the Create button to save.

Note - If there is no media attached to the post:

Once posted, Facebook may generate and publish a picture preview of that video.

There are some videos that Facebook just does not display this picture preview for. We recommend testing out your posts in a practice group before using in a party if at all possible, so you can review how those videos are displayed.
