There are two ways you can share a video:

1) Uploading a video file

2) Sharing a public video link

Continue reading to see how each option is used.

Upload a Video File

When creating a new post:

  • Select Video as your post type.

  • Enter a title for your video

  • Fill in any text in the message portion of this post.

  • Click the Browse File box. A new window will pop up where you can select the video you want to upload.

Note: With the basic subscription plan, you can upload a video up to 100MB in size. Depending on the file type and quality, 100MB can range from approximately 1-10 minutes in length.

Videos larger than 100MB would require a Pro subscription level.

  • Finish filling out the rest of the required info on this page.

  • Click the Create button to save.

Share a public video link

Any video link you share must be public (or if you're using your own Youtube videos, 'unlisted' videos would also be acceptable).

When creating a new post:

  • Select Video Link as your post type.

  • Where it askes for the video URL, paste the link to the video you want to share.

  • Fill in any text in the message portion of this post.

  • Finish filling out the rest of the required info on this page.

  • Click the Create button to save.

Note: When a video link publishes, it usually posts a picture preview of that video, overlaid with a Play button.

There are some videos that Facebook just does not display this picture preview for. We recommend testing out your posts in a practice group before using in a party if at all possible, so you can review how those videos are displayed.
