Step 1) Create your template

Templates are where you create all your party posts, all in one list. That way, you'll be able to schedule an entire party's worth of posts all at once!

Step 2) Download and log into the Chrome extension

This tool is the bridge between your PostMyParty and Facebook accounts, and is necessary for your posts to publish automatically.

Your posts can be scheduled to:

Facebook (groups, business pages, events, and Messenger chats)
Virtual Pop-Ups

Question 2

Disable Facebook Messenger Pop-ups

You know how when you get a message on Facebook Messenger, that chat box pops up in the bottom corner?

We've found that for some folks this may be preventing the flow of the extension from publishing how it should.

This can result in a tab left open on your computer, where it looks like it loaded your post content, but didn't finishing posting it (see example below).

To prevent this from occurring, we recommend:

1) Close any existing FB chats you have open, on all Facebook tabs on your computer.

2) Disable new chats from automatically popping up.

Note: Disabling this pop-up will NOT prevent you from being notified of new chats. Your Facebook Messenger icon will still ping and highlight when a new message is received.

Step 1) Close all existing Facebook chats

Open the browser you have downloaded the extension to.
Open your Facebook on that browser.
Close any chats shown on that page.

Make your Business Page an Admin of a Facebook group

Accepted Answer

In order to publish posts as your business page, you need to join the group as your page and make it admin in the group.

This is most easily done from a computer or laptop, if at all possible.

Make sure your personal profile is an Admin in the group - this is necessary for the next steps.
Check the Group Settings:

Under Set Up Group: ensure that it is visible (not hidden - it can stay private though)
Under Manage Membership (sometimes labeled Participation instead), make sure that both Pages and Profiles can join groups.

Note: This would be a good time to copy the link at the top of the Facebook group, for easy navigation in the next step.

Join the group, as your business page name:

In the top corner of your Facebook screen, click your profile picture and switch to interacting as your business page.
Navigate back to your Facebook group. (The quickest way to get there is to paste the link you had copied when recommended above.)
Look for the Join Group button, and click it.

Schedule Facebook Messenger Chats

Schedule any of your templates or library posts to your Facebook Messenger chats!

This can be done with both personal chats, and group chats.

⭐ Before scheduling messages to a chat, make sure you have installed the PostMyParty Chrome extension to your computer or laptop.

How to download the PostMyParty Chrome Extension

The Chrome extension is used to publish posts to Facebook, using a computer or laptop.

Posts can be scheduled to these locations on Facebook:

Groups
Events
Business Pages
Messenger Chats

We recommend using the Google Chrome browser, but many have used Microsoft Edge successfully as well.

How to download the PostMyParty extension:

Open your internet browser. (We have found Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are most reliable. This extension is not compatible with Safari).
Go to the download link, here: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/postmyparty/ofahkepebjpkbhkcfkinmideifnjfdgo
Click the Add to Chrome button
(This may be labeled as "Get" instead).

A box will pop up, click Add Extension.

Schedule a Party from the Chrome Extension

|| This feature is only available for posts scheduled to Facebook Groups - not Events, Pages, or Messenger Chats. || ⭐If you have not already, you'll need to schedule your posts on PostMyParty before following the steps below.

This article walks you through how to use the Schedule a Party function, given in the Chrome extension.

Pre-load your post content to Facebook, so they're set to publish without your computer needing to be on!

| 💡TIPS: | We recommend scheduling a few parties at a time, then taking a break before scheduling more.
| If you are scheduling multiple parties, be mindful that any post leaving your account is spaced at least 5-10 minutes apart before using this tool.
