NOTE: This article goes over how to use the post library using the PostMyParty mobile app. If you're working from a computer instead, this article will be more helpful:

You can watch the full video tutorial below or continue reading for written instructions:

The Post Library gives you a space to create, store, and organize your individual posts.

From the bottom taskbar of the PostMyParty mobile app, click the Posts icon.

You will see 2 tabs at the top of the page:

  • Post Library - These are categories/folders to organize your individual posts.

Click the name of a Library to open and view posts.

  • All Posts - This lists all posts that you've saved to your Post Library.

To create a new library, click the Create New icon:

It will ask you to name the library.. After that, it will show in your list of available libraries.

Create posts in a library

After creating a new library, you'll be prompted to add a post to that library.

Or, tap on a library and use the Create New icon at the top of the page. '

There are several different post types to choose from:

  • Message Only: You can add messages to all post types, but this option is used if this post is text only with nothing else added to it.

  • Website Link: Used to add a link to the post.

  • Picture: Select this if you want to add a single picture to the post. You can upload a picture directly by searching for it in your files, or by dragging and dropping it into the box.

  • Multi-picture: Same as Picture, except you can upload up to 15 pictures.

  • Video Link: Enter a public video link (like YouTube, Vimeo, or another public location).

  • GIF: Select a GIF from our available options.

  • Video: Used to upload a video file to the post.

Titles and Tags (optional)
Each new post has space to add a title and/or tags to that post.

Title: This option allows you to title this post, just for your own personal organization. The title will not be published along with that post's content.

Tags: These can be added to posts to aid in searching for specific posts.

Once you're finished creating a post, click the Save button.

SEARCH

You can use the Search icon at the top of any library, or the All Posts tab, to find a particular post using keywords or tags that would be in the post.

POST MENU

Tap the 3-dot icon beside any post to do any of the following:

  • Edit - This brings you to a new page where you can edit that post's content. Be sure to click Save at the bottom of that page when you're finished

  • Delete - This permanently deleted this post from the library. This does not affect any templates or parties.

  • Add to Template - You can add this post to any of your templates. You'll be required to select the template (either existing or new), along with the Day and Time you'd like that post labeled as.

ADD EXISTING POSTS TO A LIBRARY

You can save any of your templates or individual posts to a library:

  • To save all template posts at once:

    • Beside that template's name, click the 3-dot menu icon.

    • Select Copy To Library.

    • Choose the Library you want those posts to be added to.
All posts in that template will be added to that library.

  • To save individual posts:

    • Click the 3-dot menu icon in the corner of that post.

    • Select Copy To Library.

    • Choose the Library you want those posts to be added to.
That individual post will be added to that library.

How to publish library posts

Remember - posts will not publish automatically from your phone.

However, you have two options to easily publish your posts.

Please select your preferred option below and follow the instructions given.

Option 1:

Manually manage your content using the keyboard extension from your mobile device (like a phone or tablet)

Option 2:

Automatically publish your posts using the Chrome extension from your computer.
