NOTE: This article goes over how to create a template using the PostMyParty mobile app. If you're working from a computer instead, this article will be more helpful:
You can watch the full video tutorial below or continue reading for written instructions:
Once you're finished creating a template, you can schedule that template to post. We call this a party.
How to schedule a party:
From the PostMyParty mobile app, click Parties from the bottom taskbar.
Then, click the Create Party icon.
Step 1) Get Started
Select where you want to post your party:
Group (select this to post to a personal or business page group)
Page (select this to post directly to a business page)
Event (select this to post to an event)
Step 2) Choose Location
Select your group, event, or page from the dropdown box provided.
If your group/page/event is not listed in the dropdown box:
Click the Add New button provided on this page. This button will be titled either Add New Group, Add New Page, or Add New Event.
A new box will pop up. Type in the name of this party in the first space, and in the second space you’ll paste in the link to the group/page/event you’re scheduling your post to.
Once this is submitted, your group/page/event will show in the dropdown provided.
Step 3) Start Date and Time Zone
On the next step, you'll select the start date.
This will be the date you intend your Day 1 template posts to be published on.
Then, select the time zone you want your posts to follow, and move on to the next step.
From the dropdown box given here, you’ll choose the template you want to use in this party.
Once you have that selected, move on to the next step.
Step 4) Replacement Tokens
Note: This step will only show if replacement tokens were used in the template you are scheduling.
Otherwise, it will jump straight to the following step.
Fill in each field with what you want to replace each token.
⭐If you’re using a template that was shared with you and you’re not sure what you need to fill in these spaces, we encourage you to take a moment to look over the template you’re scheduling, to see the context those tokens were used in.
Step 5) Review and Confirm
You can click Preview Posts to take a look over your posts to double-check them.
Once you’re ready, click Confirm & Schedule.
And your party is now scheduled!
⭐ You’re not quite done yet!
Please continue on to decide how you intend to publish your posts.
Remember - your scheduled posts will not publish automatically from your phone.
However, you have two options to easily publish your posts.
Please select your preferred option below and follow the instructions given.
Option 1:
Manually manage your content using the keyboard extension from your mobile device (like a phone or tablet)
Option 2:
Automatically publish your posts using the Chrome extension from your computer.
