Livestream in a Virtual Pop-Up

How to go live in your virtual pop-up

Going live in your party is a great way to encourage excitement and engagement with your guests!

You can use the Live Stream feature to publish a link to the location you are going live in (such as YouTube or StreamYard).

  • You can schedule your link ahead of time.
  • Your guests will receive an alert that you are live, at the time your post is published.
  • Those participating live can comment on that post, keeping them engaged with the community.
  • If the live stream was recorded, that video recording will show for those who were not able to watch live.

You can watch the full video tutorial below or continue reading for written instructions.

1. Set up your live stream

Use your preferred site of choice to set up your live stream.

Some common options are:
(Select any of the options below for help on using that site)

Once your stream is set up, copy the Share Link for that stream.

2. Create your Live Stream post

  • Navigate to the pop-up you intend to go live in.

  • Click the Create New Post button

  • Select the Live Stream icon to turn that mode on.

  • Paste the link to your live stream into the box provided.

  • Publish your post.

Click Schedule to set that post to publish in the future, OR click Post Now to publish it right away.

Once that post is published, the members of the pop-up will be sent an alert.

When they click the alert, and/or visit that post within the pop-up, they'll be directed to your Live Stream post.
They can click the video to watch your livestream, and comment along on that post.

Note: Some platforms may display their videos differently than shown above.

3. Go live!

Head back to your preferred streaming platform to conduct your livestream.

Tip: We recommend keeping both your streaming platform's chat and your Virtual Pop-Up opened to monitor any messages and chats that may come in during your stream.
